We took a stroll along the river of Lärjeån. Found some treas with marks from beaver. Remarkable that thoose small animal can make theese huge timber fall.
Roger, your comments on Beavers are interesting, on my last trip I too came across Beaver chewed trees, it also reminded me of the Beaver I saw swimming across Helga å near Hästberga shelter late one evening.
The stream in the picture has a bluish tinge to it a bit like the glacial streams of Jotunheimen.
The beaver is a strange little animal. And thoose trees it have chewed... 40 cm at least.
The colour of the water is because of thich layers of clay. This area has been under sealevel for thousands of years. The clay under Gothenburg City is abt 70 meters deep or more. So in the spring, when the rivers and streams flooding the colour changes from brown to some kind of bluish.
